Sebyle Lucasta - Illustrations

Kicking off my fresh new account with some older works from my studies: these illustrations from 2020/21 were done for a major character design project that required both 5 different depictions (Fullbody, Portrait, different body types and a chibi) and the production of a 3D model. I had tons of fun working on her, and I'm still really happy with the results! <3

Sebyle Lucasta is a mystical priestess able to communicate with the spirits of the dead, endlessly travelling the world to help these lost souls move on. Her companion, Ori, guides her to those in need of her help, and she'll patiently lend them an ear to ease the anger, fears and worries that still bind them to the mortal realm.

Her design was based on praying mantises and the cultural beliefs surrounding them that associate them with death, religion, or see them as guides.
